QUESTION:
I purchased a 2012 CRV April 2019. The valve timing actuator is now making noise at start up. Has Honda determined a fix for this? Is it covered by Honda? I bought this car because of the fabled reliability of Honda so am somewhat unhappy. Thanks for your thoughts on this problem. The SUV has 66,000 on it. Martin -MARTIN , COLUMBUS
ANSWER:
I would start off with your 17 digit Vin number and call your local Honda dealer and have them check for bulletins/recalls. I would also call the one 800 number in the back your owners manual and see what Honda corporate will do for you. Honda is super to work with just reach out to them and they will take care of you in most cases.
