QUESTION:
I have aa 64 Impala SS with a 327 engine. I have not started this car for 15+ years. I've pulled the plugs and sprayed lube in the cylinders for the last 2 months. Would like to try and rotate it with my breaker bar. I don't have a bolt on the end of the crank - do you believe it's really threaded? Some research hints that they did not thread cranks until 1967 Looking for some thoughts. Going to remove the lower pully to look directly at the balancer. Suggestions. Thanks Doug -Doug , Marion
ANSWER:
I would remove the coil wire and barley bump the starter. Since there is no crank bolt and it seems froze, I would get uner the car and move the crank on the flywheel.
