QUESTION:
I bought a 2005 S2000 Honda nearly 3 years ago. I'm thinking about trading it in, but recently my local Toyota dealer told me it was worth almost nothing because the speedometer has been replaced. There is a sticker on the door stating when, where, and what mileage was on it when it was replaced. Why would that have such a negative affect on the value? -Barbara, Columbus
ANSWER:
The S2000 is a hot car but with unknown miles it will affect the value FOR SURE. Even with unknown miles its still worth decent money. The shop that replaced the odo should of told you this. Was it a warranty repair ? If so call ............... 1-800-lemon law and see what kind of rights you have in this case.
